Doggie Daycare Policy

FIRST TIME CLIENTS

  • We require an evaluation of your dog prior to being admitted into our doggie daycare program. This is for the safety and well-being of all the dogs in our care. Evaluations are done Monday, Wednesday – Saturday by appointment and are free of charge.

  • If your dog isn’t friendly with other dogs, there’s no need to worry! They will still get lots of outdoor playtime with our staff. We do not breed restrict and will take any dog (even those who are “in-tact”) as long as they are not aggressive towards people.

CHECK-IN

  • Pets may be dropped off at any time during our normal business hours for daycare. Before hours arrival, anything outside of our normal business hours, can be arranged with prior notice. There is a $50 fee for this service.

DEPARTURE

  • Pets may be picked up anytime during normal business hours. After hours departure, anything outside of our normal business hours, can be arranged with prior notice. There is a $50 fee for this service.  Dogs with no prior arrangement made and who are not picked up by 6:00 pm will be boarded for the night at our current nightly rate.

  • Payment for all services is required at the time of departure. You are welcome to leave a card on file for quick and easy check-out.

RESERVATIONS

  • All daycare stays are by reservation only.  Walk ins are welcome but have to follow our policy and may be refused service if we do not have any space available.  By making your reservation ahead of time, your dog is guaranteed a spot on the day(s) you select.

DAYCARE CANCELLATIONS

  • We ask for 24-hour notice for daycare cancellations.  If a cancellation is made less than 24 hours before, 50% of the daycare fee will be charged.  We understand that sometimes emergencies happen and you must cancel with less notice. If this happens, please give us as much notice as possible.

HOLIDAYS

  • Our lobby is closed on New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.  While we are always fully staffed for our pet guests, our lobby and reception area are closed to the public on these holidays.

  • A 50% per pet deposit is required to book for any daycare reservation including one of these holidays. The deposit is fully refundable if the reservation is cancelled more than 24 hours before the day that is scheduled.

WHAT TO BRING

  • Please ensure that your dog is wearing a quick release collar. If you don’t have one, in most cases, we’ll have one for your dog to borrow.  You may bring a lunch and treats if you wish your pet to have them.  We can accommodate wet, dry, and refrigerated foods.

We are not responsible for lost or damaged items.

VACCINATIONS / HEALTH REQUIREMENTS

  • Good general health without signs of active illness including sneezing, coughing, gagging, vomiting, diarrhea, fever, lethargy, etc. Any dog that begins exhibiting these symptoms while in our care will be immediately transferred to our isolated boarding area and kept away from other dogs until their pet parent can take them home. Isolated pets will still receive full services, just like any other daycare pet, but they will be housed and walked in an area of our facility away from other pets.

  • We do accept older pets for daycare with prior authorization and provided they meet our physical requirements, including being able to walk and stand unassisted, and eat and drink unassisted.

  • We allow unaltered/intact males and females under 6 months of age. Between 6 months and 1 year, allowance will be strictly based on the behavior of your dog and the reactivity of other dogs in the group to an intact dog. We will accept intact males or females after 1 year of age, but they will not be included in any group play activities.

  • We cannot accommodate FIV-positive cats or diabetic pets, or pets requiring fluids or medical injections of any kind.

  • All dogs must have a current vaccination record on file with us. Please provide it to us either in person or via e-mail (thepetstation1@yahoo.com) prior to arrival for daycare. We will accept records from any licensed veterinarian. (Required)

  • Dogs are required to be current on Rabies, DHLPP, & Bordetella vaccines.

  • Negative fecal/intestinal parasite test within the last 12 months is required for all dogs.

  • We require that all daycare pets be treated regularly with flea, tick, and parasite prevention, as recommended by your pet’s veterinarian. If your pet arrives with fleas, we will ask if you would like for us to treat the pet with either a flea bath or Capstar (a flea prevention that lasts 24 hours), at the expense of the pet owner.  If treatment is declined, the reservation will be cancelled.

All vaccinations/doctor notes MUST be received no less than 48 hours prior to your dog coming in for the first time. Failure to do so may result in your daycare reservation being cancelled.

Vaccine records may be dropped off in person or emailed to us at thepetstation1@yahoo.com.
